TUESDAYS:

Intermediate Guitar

This is a class for students who have basic chords down and are ready for some fun challenges! Lots of playing, new picking patterns, and theory. We will also learn to play some songs the same way the original bands played them, such as Dust In The Wind by Kansas, Hotel California by the Eagles, and Dueling Banjos. 

*Special note to aspiring bass players: if you would like to learn bass, please contact me as I may be able to incorporate your learning in with this class.

 

Coffee School Spit-less Band

Jr/Sr high

(Minimum 4 people for the class run)

This is for all instrumentalists and vocalists: guitar players (electric or acoustic), bass players (electric or acoustic), drummers, singers, piano players, and whoever wants to learn to participate together as a band. All instruments welcome! Aside from bass, which I am happy to teach during class, all instrumentalists need to have a basic understanding of their instrument, though I will be available for coaching and tips. 

*Please note it is called the ‘Spit-less’ band because I do not teach wind instruments. That being said, if you play a wind instrument you are welcome to join us. I just won’t be able to teach you much other than general music theory.

Elementary Ukulele

This class is for elementary school students who want to learn to play songs on the ukulele. Learn new songs and have fun making music with your ukulele!

 

Ukuleles in Action

Jr High and High School

Have fun learning new melodies, picking and strumming patterns, and how to accompany yourself singing (if you sing). Lots of in class playing time! No experience necessary.

This is a class for elementary age students who want to learn guitar. We will learn how to read notes on a musical staff as well as chords and simple songs.

 

Beginning Guitar and Bass

Learn the guitar or the bass! Play folk music, various Christian songs, and songs you hear on the radio!
