Lessons description:

 

Art classes are essential for a child's full and well-rounded development. They encompass a wide range of activities—drawing and painting, modeling and collage, as well as various mixed-media techniques. The goal of my art classes is to develop a child's aesthetic perception of the world, artistic taste, appreciation of beauty, and creative spirit.

During the lessons, special attention is paid to color theory as a fundamental aspect of painting. My art classes are tailored to the specific needs of each age group; consequently, regular participation is an excellent way to foster key qualities in your child, such as:

 

• Perseverance and social skills

• Concentration and the ability to shift attention

• Memory and analytical skills

• The ability to compare and evaluate visual information

• Comprehensive art instruction—including techniques like modeling and collage—positively impacts fine motor skills, enhances speech development, and helps children express their feelings, emotions, and talents

 

Art classes for various age groups will help unlock your child's creative potential and introduce them to the magical world of painting.

 

Most of the art supplies will be provided but some needs to be purchased:

About Mrs. Bjorklund:

Thank you for your interest in my art classes. I graduated from Russian State University with a major in Fine Arts degree (painting, drawing, composition, print) for elementary and middle school students. I also studied and worked at an art studio in the Netherlands. Following that, I moved to the Pacific Northwest and located here. I love teaching art to children and I love to engage and inspire them at this fascinating process of creating something beautiful together with me.
