5 weeks Session: "Let’s make a  Paper Puppet Theater!” 

​

 

 

What is the purpose of children's puppet theater?

 

Puppet theater helps cultivate in children a culture of communication, a desire for collaborative creativity, and an interest in the arts; it also fosters an understanding of reality through artistic imagery.

 

During a puppet performance, young children learn to distinguish between good and evil, and to recognize the various guises behind which evil may hide. Puppet characters evoke a vivid emotional response in the young soul, offering children examples of friendship, empathy, kindness, courage, and diligence.

 

Some art supplies I will be providing but some I would recommend buying (here and here). Your child will be able to use them at home to practice which is really important and if you stay with my art program you will be able to use them at the next art session with me. 

 

Mondays 

• 2:30-4:00, beginning April 20.  (Ages 5-9)

 

Wednesdays

• 11-12:30, beginning April 22  (ages 5-9)

• 1:00-2:30, beginning April 22 (ages 9-13)

 

$85 for 5 weeks session, sibling discount $10

About Mrs. Bjorklund:

Thank you for your interest in my art classes. I graduated from Russian State University with a major in Fine Arts degree (painting, drawing, composition, print) for elementary and middle school students. I also studied and worked at an art studio in the Netherlands. Following that, I moved to the Pacific Northwest and located here. I love teaching art to children and I love to engage and inspire them at this fascinating process of creating something beautiful together with me.
